Built alongside the AE and BE class these cars were combination first and second class cars with a toilet in the middle of the car. ABE's could carry 26 first class and 36 second class passengers. They were rated at 45 tons. | |||||||||||||

Lighting was by Pintsch gas until equipped with electric light in the early to mid 1920's. The two tanks carried the Pintsch gas.
